Fricción embodies a kind of tautology consisting of alternating forward and backward movements. With its circular structure, this piece involves a stratified concept of time; time is repeated, creating a feeling of not moving forward, an endless succession of false starts.
The artist is punched and thrown across the space by the force of the blow. A moment later he is struck again and thrown back to the same spot as before, and so the video continues, a metaphor for experiences that serve no purpose.
