The video shows the isolation of the individual from the urban scene. Time stands still, marked only by the shifts that make up the working day, a day occupied by the pointless task of guarding an inadequate, shoddy building. The silent gaze of the camera becomes the main event in a reflexive and alienating relation, in which the conditions of surveillance and the surveyed are reversed. Voyeurism as an act of indecency has been integrated into the public gaze. Daily I peer from my window, transforming the vigil of the vigilante into a spectacle, an action that encompasses a way of exercising power over this security guard and forces me to question the limits of privacy.
