The piece shows an idyllic day lived by and for oneself. A day free from desire, a cherished respite, a pleasure. A time achieved and inhabited, feelings in repose. The home as refuge, the house as myself. Myself as a refuge, free from the need to defend myself.
A male person gives himself up to the moment, finding pleasure in every tiny action. This everyday scenario – although not an ordinary one – becomes an impossible mirror in which dreams – the dreams of this man, perhaps he is a business man, an executive – are no longer reflected because they have become irrelevant.
