This video shows an everyday situation, one which we can all identify with. The action entails a psychological tension that is both caustic and satirical.
A well-suited executive enters and exits an apartment – his home. He is clearly disconcerted as if he has left something behind. As in other video pieces, he follows a circular route, with the accent on the sound of the front door opening and closing, and his footsteps on the stairs. These sounds generate geometric rhythms, symmetrical sound loops which act as symbols for the inevitable coming and going of life, the repetition of experience and error, the repetition also of simple actions, feelings and solutions.
